"Hide and Go Seek", the debut album from the emerging young rock band Elephantbear, is quintessential alternative rock in the vein of The Foo Fighters, Snow Patrol, Modest Mouse, and Ben Lee. But this album also has its own distinctive edge as the band draws on a variety of musical styles including funk, punk, classic rock, jam rock, and jazz to form one fresh new amalgamation that is uniquely Elephantbear. Singer-songwriter and guitarist Mike Pedersen flashes his creative prowess with both songwriting ability and some exciting guitar playing and drummer and songwriting partner Tim Collins plays with raw rock brilliance.
